Winter has a way of adding extra steps to every trip. You scrape the windshield, wait for the heat to kick in, then ease out of a driveway lined with snow.
A new Lincoln SUV takes care of many of those chores for you, from the moment you wake up to the moment you pull back into the garage.
This guide follows a typical winter day from start to finish. At each stage, you will see which Lincoln features help most and which models offer them. It is a simple way to picture how a Corsair, Nautilus, Aviator or Navigator fits into your cold-weather routine.
Before You Leave the House

The easiest winter mornings start with a warm cabin. Remote start is standard on the Corsair, Aviator and Navigator, so you can get things warming up from inside your home. Navigator owners can go further with Lincoln’s smartphone app, which lets them schedule remote start and cabin pre-conditioning in advance.
An engine block heater is offered on the Aviator and Navigator for owners who want extra help on the coldest days.
Phone As A Key, standard on the Aviator and Navigator and offered on the Corsair, turns your phone into the key. That leaves one less item to hunt for while you pull on boots and mitts.
Getting In and Getting Comfortable
Once you open the door, heated surfaces make a quick difference. Each Lincoln SUV handles this a little differently:
- Corsair: standard heated front seats, with heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and heated rear outboard seats offered
- Aviator: standard heated and ventilated front seats and heated steering wheel, plus available heated second-row seats
- Navigator: standard heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats
That means passengers in the back stay comfortable too. In the Navigator, second-row riders have their own touchscreen controls, so they can manage their seat settings without leaning forward to ask the driver.
Pulling Out of a Snowy Driveway
Leaving the driveway is often the trickiest part of a winter trip. Every Lincoln SUV sends power to all four wheels, with all-wheel drive on the Corsair, Nautilus and Aviator and four-wheel drive on the Navigator. That added traction helps on packed snow, slush and icy patches.
Visibility matters just as much as grip here. A 360-degree camera comes on the Aviator and Navigator and is offered on the Corsair. It helps you see around snowbanks and parked cars as you back out.
Hill Start Assist on the Corsair, Aviator and Navigator helps hold the vehicle in place when you start from a stop on a slope.
On the Road in Changing Conditions

Winter roads can change from clear to slick within a few kilometres. Lincoln Drive Modes let you adjust how your SUV responds.
The Nautilus offers five standard modes: Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery and Deep Conditions. The Navigator includes the same five settings, so you can choose Slippery for icy roads or Deep Conditions for heavier snow.
Clear sightlines make every drive calmer. Rain-sensing front wipers come standard on the Aviator and Navigator and react automatically as snow and slush hit the windshield. Both models also feature heated sideview mirrors to help keep frost off the glass.
The Navigator’s adaptive pixel projector headlamps with dynamic bending help light the road through curves after dark, and the Nautilus offers available H2 Pixel Headlamps. Auto high-beam headlamps on the Corsair, Aviator and Navigator switch between high and low beams for you on unlit roads.
Running Errands and Loading Up
Winter errands often mean juggling bags, boxes and sports gear in the cold. The Aviator’s power liftgate opens as you approach, saving you from setting everything down in the slush.
The Navigator’s power Lincoln Split Gate lets the upper section rise like a liftgate while the lower section folds down like a tailgate.
In slow, slushy traffic, Auto Hold on the Corsair, Aviator and Navigator keeps the brakes applied once you stop. Your foot can rest until the light turns green. A rear window defroster on the Corsair, Aviator and Navigator helps keep the back glass clear for every lane change.
Heading Home After Dark
By late afternoon, winter darkness sets in. Lincoln Embrace brightens the area around your vehicle as you walk up, which makes it easier to see where you are stepping. On the Navigator, that includes illuminated door handles and a lit welcome mat on the ground.
